Chile se acerca a cifras históricas. El INE informó hoy que en el trimestre febrero-abril de 2020 la tasa de desocupación nacional fue 9,0%, incrementándose 1,9 puntos porcentuales (pp.) en doce meses. Los desocupados crecieron anualmente 19,6%, incididos únicamente por los cesantes (22,9%).
La tasa de desocupación desestacionalizada fue 9,0%, siendo 1,0 pp. superior a la del trimestre móvil anterior, como consecuencia del descenso de la fuerza de trabajo (-6,9%) y la contracción de los ocupados (-7,9%).
En doce meses, las tasas de participación y ocupación se situaron en 57,9% y 52,7%, contrayéndose 4,8 pp. y 5,6 pp., en cada caso y constatando los niveles más bajos de la vigente serie.
